Stephen Gilmore
Stephen Gilmore proudly serves as the key management leader of Transition. He is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. Born and raised in Miami, Stephen is a product of the Miami Dade County Public Schools system. A graduate of Miami Central Senior High School, Stephen later became a Student Leader at Miami Dade College – North Campus. While at Miami Dade College, Stephen served as President of the Mu Epsilon Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and would later become the organization’s first African-American elected National President. A Magna Cum Laude of Howard University’s prestigious School of Communication. Stephen majored in Film and minored in African American Studies. Stephen worked for six years in Los Angeles, California in the entertainment industry, before returning home to South Florida. Stephen has over ten years of experience in Career Services.
Fun Fact: Stephen is a “die-hard foodie”. He has a strong interest in food, loves to cook and enjoys learning about different cuisines from around the world.
