Abbie Waxman
Abbie Waxman is an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida assigned to the Major Crimes division. Before joining the US Attorney’s Office, she served this community for seven years as an Assistant Public Defender at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office where her practice emphasized narcotics and firearm cases, violent crimes, and juvenile cases.
Waxman, a Miami native, graduated from The Florida State University with Criminology and Sociology degrees in 2009 and graduated from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center in 2013.
Waxman has been actively involved in local bar activities as a member of Florida Association of Women Lawyers, Miami Chapter, Cuban American Bar Association, Miami Chapter, Dade County Bar Association, and American Civil Liberties Union, Miami Chapter and a past member and officer of Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Miami Chapter.
